Material
What you need to make these tailored trousers
- Fabric of your choice
- min. 18 cm long zipper of your choice (My recommendation: non-separating Nylon coil zipper, 3-5mm, can be shorten later on)
- 50 cm fusible interlining to strengthen stress points (zipper fly tabs and waistband)
- Optional: lining for the pockets
- Button matching your fabric (size of your choice)
- New universal sewing needles
- Thread matching your fabric
- Fabric Scissors, fabric pins, iron
Suggested Fabrics
You can use different fabrics for the pants, depending on the look you want to achieve. My recommendation: use a lightweight woven fabric, which presses well such as light linen/viscose mix, light cotton or polyester fabrics. If you want to achieve a tailored trousers look, a fine cotton twill (optionally with a slight stretch) or linen fabric is ideal. Remember to wash your fabric before sewing.
