If you have been following me for a while you might know how much I love not only making but also thrifting clothes. In my opinion thrifting is the most sustainable way to buy clothes and get this feeling of “something new”.
Thrift stores always give us access to some of the best affordable clothes to choose from and help us save our money. Several thrift shops offer the best second-hand clothes here in Dubai.
Thrifting matters! Second-hand clothes are not only saving you money! More importantly thrifting is a good way to reduce your environmental impact!
I have been thrifting clothes, shoes and accessories my whole life. But if you are new to the world of thrifting, you might ask yourself:

Let’s start from the beginning with some commonly asked questions about thrifting and second-hand clothes:
Second hand clothes, as their name suggests, are clothes, shoes or bags which have been worn before but (mostly) are in good quality to be worn again. You can purchase from second hand shops physically in stores and even in online shops.
Second hand clothes are an important step toward a more sustainable wardrobe. The fashion industry is among the most harmful industries using crazy amounts of water and creating tons of waste which ends up in our oceans and landfill. By thrifting, mending and repairing old clothes, less clothes end up in landfill. Instead we can give these clothes a second life and cherish them to the fullest!
This highly depends on the shop. The shops I use and recommend in this article are pre-washed and in good conditions. But keep in mind that we can never tell exactly what thrift clothes have come in contact with. That’s why I always advise to give your second hand clothes a wash before you put them on.
This again highly depends on the shop you’re visiting. The prices in second hand shops can vary a lot depending on what kind of items the shop sells, the quality of the garments and of course the brand of the used items. That’s why I divided the following list in three segments going from cheap second-hand stores to medium-priced shops to high-end second-hand shops. You can choose the store depending on what you’re looking for.
The best second hand Shops in Dubai
1. Thrift Bazaar Al Barsha
Casual preloved clothes for women, men and kids. Thrift Bazaar ist located in Al Barsha 1 near Mall of the Emirates (opposite road of Lulu Hypermarket) and easy to reach with public transportation. Just jump into the red line and get out at “Mall of the Emirates”. Besides Thrift Bazaar you’ll find some other cheap (thrift) stores to discover close by.

2. Fashion Rerun
A great place to find some second-hand / vintage gems 💎 They don’t have a physical shop but you can find them regularly on markets like ripe market or urban market Dubai. They selection might not be for everyones taste so be sure to check out there Instagram in advance.

3. Polar second hand store in Marina
I am sure not many people know about this second hand store even though its right in the center of Dubai Marina! I have to say though: if you’re not local and just discovering the city- this one might be hard one to find as its not on google maps and I couldn’t even find an Instagram account. But if you have the time to discover Dubai Marina, why not combining it with a stop at Polar Ukay second hand store. The prices are really good for the quality of clothes considering its right in the center of Marina.

Location: You can find the store on marina walk (marina mall side), somewhere after Trident Residence. It’ll be on your right with a big red sign saying “POLAR”.
4. thriftforgood on Palm Jumeirah
A fun place to shop everyday brands such as Zara, H&M, Shein etc. for women, men and kids. They even have books and other second hand things to browse and discover. The store is filled with preloved items so I recommend to bring some time to discover everything. All clothes are in ok to good conditions and fair priced.

5. Retold in Al Qouz
This is a worthwhile destination in Dubai that offers everything from clothes to sunglasses and shoes for women. If you’re lucky, you might even find some selected designer pieces. With everything under one roof, you can look at everything as you decide what is best for you. The thrift store also gets regular new and second-hand clothes every week, which means the collection gets updated regularly.

6. La Suite.ae in Jumeirah
La Suite is a second-hand shop for preloved premium and luxury brands. You can find well selected items from American Vintage and Adidas to Balenciaga, Gucci, Celine and Dior. You can find womens clothes, shoes, bags and accessories. All items are in excellent condition which comes at a higher price point.
If you’re looking for premium brands (esp. european premium brands) or maybe you’re even looking for specific premium second-hand items, this store is worth a visit!

7. Garderobe Dubai in Jumeirah
Another premium second-hand store for women and men clothes, shoes and accessories. Garderobe Dubai is definitely a place to check when you’re on the hunt for certain designer items. As mentioned before: here you’ll only find high-end second-hand clothes. Therefore the prices are not cheap but definitely better than store-prices.

Nice to know:
